HS Winter Leg Registrations Closing

Hearthstone (HS) (DGL)

There are only a few hours left until the 2015 Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft (HS) Telkom DGL Winter Leg registrations close and there are still a number of players that need to register.

Players are thusly reminded that they will not be automatically registered for the Winter Leg if they took part in the Summer Leg, and that they will have to enter separately to continue competing. As such, those that do not register again, will forfeit their seeding and will have to start from the Open Division if they look to compete in the future.

With 189 entries so far (at the time of writing) it is expected that the final hours will see one more boom as those that have yet to register do so in the final moments. Of course those that do not register won’t stand a chance at getting to participate in the finals, whether they be online or on LAN.

For those that don’t know, HS is a strategy, card game that makes use of champions and monsters from the extremely popular World of Warcraft (WoW) universe. It will see players making their own decks and taking each other on in a 1vs1 showdown, to see just who has the “luck of the draw”. Of course there is some skill that comes along with knowing which cards to use and at which times, to best your opponent.

Players are reminded that registrations close at midnight tonight, 25 May 2015, and should they wish to register, they can do so via the HS portal page. For those that are new to the league, it is important that you make sure your Battle.net ID is visible on your DGL profile, as you could forfeit matches if it is not.

The Winter Leg will be starting on 1 June and will continue on until 27 July, after which a Playoff stage will be held to see who will be promoted and demoted based on their placings. The finals will be happening closer to the end of the year, although it is unknown whether they will be held online, like the 2014 season, or at the Telkom DGL Championships.
